Work or Pleasure? I’m not sure… at times?

The Conclusion of the Matter

Not only was the Teacher wise, but he also imparted knowledge to the people. He pondered and searched out and set in order many proverbs. The Teacher searched to find just the right words, and what he wrote was upright and true.

The words of the wise are like goads, their collected sayings like firmly embedded nails—given by one shepherd.Be warned, my son, of anything in addition to them.

Of making many books there is no end, and much study wearies the body.

Ecclesiastes 12:9-12

King Solomon

I don’t know about you but I have a hard time distinguishing between these things at times… I think I do it to myself… in fact, I am sure I do!! …You see, it is just my nature to want to be thorough, concise, complete, understood and so on and so forth… Most writers, designers, engineers, etc. desire the same ..don’t you think? … There is nothing wrong with these qualities at all for the most part… at least not until they begin to control every aspect of your conscience time… life.

I seem to forget at times.. that it is not all up to me… I fail to remember often.. that I am not in control of my life… or your life either…   I seem to make every pastime or hobby I enjoy… into a “Job”… something I must do, something I must accomplish… a goal, so to speak!! …Do you ever do that?

Personally, I am working very hard… to remedy this condition in my Life, …that has a tendency to become and control my Life… if I am not careful. I choose today to allow some others to do some of the work for me. After all …they did the work long ago… They may have also had this same condition working in their life as well..? I don’t know that for sure… I will let you decide for yourself.

I just think… sometimes we all ‘work too hard’ at things that should be fun and joyful and happy times! …Especially in our walk with God… and with that, I will close and let you think for yourself and if you choose to do so, you can read some of the work of some of my friends….

Happy Weekend, and God’s blessing on all your hands find to do…

Love in Him!

The Far-Reaching Rivers of Life

September 6, 2013

He who believes in Me . . . out of his heart will flow rivers of living water —John 7:38

A river reaches places which its source never knows. And Jesus said that, if we have received His fullness, “rivers of living water” will flow out of us, reaching in blessing even “to the end of the earth” (Acts 1:8) regardless of how small the visible effects of our lives may appear to be. We have nothing to do with the outflow— “This is the work of God, that you believe. . .” (John 6:29). God rarely allows a person to see how great a blessing he is to others.

A river is victoriously persistent, overcoming all barriers. For a while it goes steadily on its course, but then comes to an obstacle. And for a while it is blocked, yet it soon makes a pathway around the obstacle. Or a river will drop out of sight for miles, only later to emerge again even broader and greater than ever. Do you see God using the lives of others, but an obstacle has come into your life and you do not seem to be of any use to God? Then keep paying attention to the Source, and God will either take you around the obstacle or remove it. The river of the Spirit of God overcomes all obstacles. Never focus your eyes on the obstacle or the difficulty. The obstacle will be a matter of total indifference to the river that will flow steadily through you if you will simply remember to stay focused on the Source. Never allow anything to come between you and Jesus Christ— not emotion nor experience— nothing must keep you from the one great sovereign Source.Think of the healing and far-reaching rivers developing and nourishing themselves in our souls! God has been opening up wonderful truths to our minds, and every point He has opened up is another indication of the wider power of the river that He will flow through us. If you believe in Jesus, you will find that God has developed and nourished in you mighty, rushing rivers of blessing for others.

A joy-filled heart is curative balm, …but a broken spirit hurts all the way to the bone.

Ecclesiastes 9:7

The Voice (VOICE)

Teacher:  So here is what you should do: go and enjoy your meals, drink your wine and love every minute of it because God is already pleased with what you do.
