What if a Man, … an extremely wealthy man came to you and made this offer?
“I wish to purchase your property, all of it, including you and all your offspring for all generations to come. I will pay you all that I have and I will provide all that you and your family will ever need forever. All I ask is that you and all your descendants stay on this property, live on it, have fun on it, use it anyway you please and never ever leave it. If what I am offering to supply you is ever not enough, I will provide even more land, houses, fields etc. ….. Oh and one more thing … I Myself request to stay with you, love with you, live with you and be apart of you all forever…”
What would your answer be?
Love in Him!

Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.” — Matthew 19:24
I logged onto Facebook this morning and saw this article:
(The Washington Post)
I encourage you to click the link and take a look at it, even if you don’t read it all because it will add a lot to this post. I don’t know why it hit me so hard this morning… tired of being pushed around I suppose. Do you ever feel like we are ALL being pushed to the edge of something “terrible” and we are not doing anything about it? I do at times.. and this is one of those times!!
Jesus spoke very strongly to the Rich Oppressors of His day and age. Those who were oppressing the poor, the down trodden, the diseased and the outcast. The ones everyone pushes out.. everyone pushes away.. those who no one cares for any longer. Jesus went straight to these folks. They were like a magnet to Him. These were also the ones who flocked to Jesus like lost sheep looking for a shepherd. There was a supernatural attraction at work here… The Deliverer and the captives in need of deliverance!!
…Do you see it?…
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.
The Year of the Lord’s Favor
Jesus used these very words from Isaiah when He announced His ministry plans in the synagogue on that fateful Sabbath day… This was His mission statement so to speak, and it went directly to address the major problems of the religious establishment of His day!!
I believe this is one area where today’s Church is severely incompetent.. although I am not quite sure of the reason. I hope it is not because we just don’t care or we have grown accustomed to it.. and it just doesn’t brother us anymore. Sometimes I think we get so engrossed in our own worries and cares, we just do not see the plight others are in..? We are so concerned with our own budget shortfalls that we can’t conceive of being able to help someone else out. I think we have forgotten we have all the riches of the Kingdom at our fingertips to offer these people in need as well as the Rich Oppressors.
Do we have the “ANSWER” and do nothing?? …!!!
I do not like to get on a soapbox, that is not the purpose of this blog. BUT sometimes you just have to do some things you might not feel comfortable with if you are really going to be like Jesus in this world today.. Sometimes you must speak-up when you would prefer to be silent.. Sometimes you have to write a post you don’t really care to write, make a call you don’t want to make, pick up a cross that may not be yours to carry?? … It is not always about being nice, it is also about being “truthful”.. Do you agree?
I don’t claim to know the solution, But I do claim to know the Deliverer and I know He knows the solution.. The question is; “Do we really want to take part in being the solution??”
I cannot answer that question for you, I can only answer the question for me..
I will close with this.. even though there is so much more to be said.. I hope you will feel the desire to dive into the Scriptures and see for yourself what they have to reveal on this subject.. My prayer is that I will no longer choose to stay quiet on these issues, but will speak-up and call attention to the injustices going on in our world today.. to give a VOICE to those who cannot speak for themselves…and I pray that as I speak up and speak out, all the powers and riches of the Kingdom will become available to be used against these Unjust Judgments that are being rendered today.. I also pray that you will be touched with a Holy Boldness and begin to see and speak-up too!
Love in Him!
When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
